My degree is in Three Dimensional Design, for the first phase of my career I worked as a potter running my own shop and studio in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. I was a member of the Wessex Group of craftsman. I also taught painting and ceramics to Adult and A level classes.

I had my two daughters, then wrote a book and lectured on the History of Faringdon. In 1988 we moved to Eastbourne where I established a studio. I was set up the Design and Technology department for Moira House Girls School. I continued to produce ceramics in my studio at home. However by 1994 I was a full time teacher running a flourishing Art and Design department too. Over a decade of successful exam results and personal ceramic exhibitions followed but I decided to leave teaching in December 2007, so that I could concentrate on my own artwork again. (I have also restored an historic 1936 Narrow Boat, ‘Angel' in 2008.)

I am now painting a series of images of the effect of the light shining between the pier supports on Eastbourne's beach. The paintings have been sold through the Open Studio events, Casson Gallery, The Da Vinci Hotel and personal recommendations.

My ceramic bathing belles have been sold at the Chelsea Arts Fair, Henley Artspace, Worcester Artspace, Brighton Festival, Oxford Arts Weeks, Painswick, Guildford, Bath, Eastbourne Open Studios, The Red Gallery Marlow, The Enid Lawson Gallery, Kensington, The Hesketh Gallery at Lewes, Seaford Crypt and the Affordable Art Fair in London.

I may develop large structural paintings of canal architecture in the future, which could be marketed from Angel's hold….Watch this space!
